How an answer is made

We read official sources

Embassies, immigration authorities and government notices, registered one source at a time. A page that can’t be read reliably isn’t treated as read.

We turn them into requirements

Each rule records who it applies to, what it asks, since when, and the exact words it rests on. A person checks it against those words before it is published — nothing reaches a traveller on a machine’s say-so.

We evaluate your journey

Your passport, destination, connections, dates and purpose go through the same rules. We ask a question only when a rule’s answer depends on it.

We keep the evidence and the dates

Every requirement carries its sources, quoted, and the date we last checked them. Sources are re-read on a schedule, and a change goes back to review before anyone’s answer moves.

We say what we don’t know

When sources disagree, when a detail isn’t confirmed, or when we haven’t finished a destination, the answer says so — with when anyone last looked and who to ask. Missing is never shown as “nothing required”.

We tell you what to do

Requirements become steps, with deadlines counted back from your departure date.

You can check our work

Every answer links to the official pages it rests on, and quotes them. You never have to take our word for it.

What we won’t do

Guess, round up, or promise.

  • No confidence percentages. A requirement is confirmed, partly confirmed, or not — and we say which.
  • No answer without evidence. An uncovered destination is “check with the authority”, never a guess.
  • No documents on our servers. The app keeps them encrypted on your phone.
  • No guarantee. Unbound cannot guarantee boarding or admission. Airlines and border authorities make the final decision. Always confirm with the official authority before you travel.
