What to do

  1. Check your passport is valid for six months beyond your arrivalICA asks for a biodata page valid for at least six months from the date you enter Singapore. If it is close, renew first — everything else depends on it.
  2. Get two recent photos and fill in Form 14AColour photographs taken within the last three months, and a photocopy of your passport biodata page. Documents in Hindi need an English translation.
  3. Apply through an authorised visa agent or a local contact in SingaporeYou cannot apply at an immigration counter, and the online service needs either a local contact with Singpass or a strategic partner. Most travellers from India use an authorised agent. You do not need to have booked a flight first.
  4. Pay the processing feeINR 2100 per application. An authorised agent may charge up to INR 1300 on top of that, so budget about INR 3400 in total.
  5. Wait for the decisionGenerally three to five working days, not counting the day you submit, weekends or public holidays.
  6. Get your e-Visa printed and carry itYour agent or local contact prints it from the e-Service. A visa does not guarantee entry, and how long you may stay is set by the pass issued at the checkpoint, not by the visa.

  1. Have your passport and flight details to handPassport number and expiry, flight number, and where you are staying the first night.
  2. File the SG Arrival Card onlineFree, and it takes a few minutes. It can only be filed within the three days before you arrive, so this is a job for the week you fly — not now. ICA says plainly that it does not endorse commercial services that charge for it.
  3. Keep the acknowledgementSave the confirmation email or screenshot in case you are asked for it.
